Corrocell have secured a major contract for the design, supply and commissioning of the cathodic protection system associated with steel tubular piles at the PARS Petrochemical port project (PSEEZ) in Assaluyeh, Iran. The supply of some 28 No Oil cooled Transformer Rectifiers, 400No MMO anodes and almost 100No silver/silver chloride reference electrodes. The system also includes a full remote monitoring and control system based on the new advanced 32 bit controllers supplied by Remco Systems.

This marks a significant milestone for Corrocell in securing such a prestigious contract. The system should be commissioned towards the end of 2008.



Corrosion Conference Held in Iran

Corrocell and associates have just returned from holding a two day conference- 16/17th February 08 in Tehran, Iran in association with The Iranian Corrosion Association (ICA) and Payesh Sanat Novin (PSN) The conference covered four main topics:

  • Corrosion Management chaired by Dr William Cox of Corrosion Mangement Ltd
  • Corrosion Inhibitors chaired by Dr William Cox of Corrosion Mangement Ltd
  • Corrosion in Concrete chaired by Mr Kevin Davies of Kevin G Davies Ltd
  • Remote Monitoring and Control Systems for Cathodic Protection chaired by Mr David Perrin of Corrocell Ltd

The conference was attended by over two hundred people over two days mainly from The Oil and Gas, Utilities, Marine and Power generation companies. The conference was a great success and was well received by those who attended.
